    As an employee of the association, the Maintenance/Doorstaff will report directly to the Property Manager. The Janitor "owns" the maintenance and service functions of the building. As the Janitor you are presumed to be the most knowledgeable and capable person on-site. The position of Janitor is one of the most important functions within the building and you will be held to a higher standard to perform the duties and responsibilities assigned. The Janitor will be responsible for general cleaning, removal of refuse, sweeping and dusting of common areas. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while keeping a positive attitude are crucial.


    • Cleaning including vacuuming carpets, refuse removal, cleaning of chute rooms, sweeping and mopping, snow removal
    • Supervising building contractors and visiting contractors
    • Cleaning of common areas including lobby, garage, stairwells, and hallways
    • Assist in maintenance and medical emergencies as needed
    • Sign for all incoming packages and deliver to units
    • Order building supplies as needed


    • Experience working in multifamily facilities required
    • Light plumbing, minor electrical and HVAC skills are needed 
    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment which may require working holidays, weekends and nights based on needs at site location and in cases of emergency
    • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to assess the situation and call for support when needed
