    The Assistant Property Manager's role is to work with the Property Manager and Ownership in the general administration of the property and perform all related administrative and accounting functions to ensure operational excellence.


    This position is a salaried position. The regular hours of the Assistant Property Manager are 10am – 6pm Monday (additional hours during peak workloads). Attendance at frequent evening meetings is required.


    • Provide outstanding customer service for all residents; develop and maintain open lines of communications with all residents
    • Supervise the Door and Receiving Room staff
    • Provide on-going customer service training in order to maintain a high level customer service experience for all residents/guests at The Montgomery
    • Assist the Property Manager in planning/scheduling staff meetings at least once per quarter
    • Review and respond to daily Door / Receiving Room staff reports. Advise Property Manager if items need her attention.
    • Complete Door / Receiving room staff weekly payroll and submit to Property Manager for her review and approval.
    • Adhere to all federal, state and local laws, as well as all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by Draper and Kramer, Incorporated or as otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to site employees
    • Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe and well-maintained environment
    • Manage the Bike Room and bike registration. Perform and annual audit of bikes
    • Ensure that all pets are registered, fees assessed and pet rules followed
    • Manage the fitness room and equipment repairs
    • Manage the security cameras and electronic key fob/garage remote systems
    • Own and coordinate special projects as assigned from time to time by the Property Manager
    • Attend all Board Meetings
    • Assists with the full range of the day-to-day administration of the condominium property, including but not limited to, project management, budget preparation and execution, building operations, facility maintenance and repair
    • Write and post weekly updates and monthly newsletters to the residents.
    • Process invoices, entering unit information, and entering unit charges
    • Process work orders and entering unit information
    • Process all paperwork and correspondence related to unit leases and sales (22.1 and Condo Questionnaire)
    • Maintain current insurance (COIs) for units, renter, and vendors
    • Schedule and coordinating moves
    • Schedule and coordinating vendors and contractors
    • Schedule and coordinating amenities
    • Collect and prepare construction packages for the Property Manager's review
    • Maintain accurate unit and vendor files
    • Provide Property Manager a weekly update detailing moves, sale/leases, rule infractions, complaints, pet registration, bike registration, outstanding requests, and staff schedule for upcoming week

    • 1-2 years’ experience in multifamily property management
    • Must have current CAM license issued by The State of Illinois
    • Experience with MS-Office (basic level knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Yardi & BuildingLink experience preferred
    • Excellent telephone/customer service skills
    • Must be able to supervise staff
    • Ability to respond to an emergency
    • Ability to perform accounting functions (accounts payable/receivable) and administrative functions
    • Ability to work on several projects at once while continuing to perform day-to-day activities
