    HARBOR POINT CONDOMINUM ASSOCIATION is located in downtown Chicago in the Lakeshore East neighborhood. Our community is a luxury condominium consisting of over 740 residential and commerical units, valet parking and other amenities.  

     

    The Relief Door/Receiving Staff (SEIU) reports directly to the Assistant Property Manager of Residential Services, and while specific responsibilities will vary based on location, the relief doorperson/receiving attenant will be responsible for greeting residents, owners, vendors and guests, vendor and package management and ensuring that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while keeping a positive attitude are crucial. Strong communication and organizational skills are also key. Membership in the Union (SEUI Local 1) may be a requirement based on location. The Position is FLOATING RELIEF to cover vacations, call-off's and Holidays and Special projects. This position does not include benefits.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet owners, residents, guests and vendors
    • Keep detailed logs of activity during a work shift
    • Prepare incident and accident reports
    • Open doors, carry bags, receive packages, hail taxis, answer inquiries, coordinate move-ins/outs, coordinate guest or vendor sign-in
    • Coordinate loading dock services
    • Process packages - inbound and outbound
    • Key and Vendor Sign-In
    • Oversee mmoves and deliveries

    Qualifications

    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Flexible schedule and reliable transportation required.
    • Must be available to work all shifts, report for Call-in on short-notice, work holidays, weekends and nights (based on needs at site location)
    • Proficiency in basic computer operation.  Experience with BuidlingLink or other Management Communication Systems is a plus.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment which may require cross-training with other departments. 
    • Emergency Evacuation or Fire Safety Training is a plus.
