The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the company’s cash management, expense report accounting, as well as some general ledger accounting and other projects. This individual will work closely with all members of the accounting team to ensure accuracy in all processes, completion of projects in a timely manner and improve current procedures and/or policies.


  • Manage corporate cash
  • Identify bank reconciling items daily using a combination of banking websites and Yardi General Ledger
  • Process ACHs and Wires daily in a timely basis ensuring all procedures are followed
  • Manage the deposit and recording of checks received from various sources
  • Manage the corporate expense reporting process using Concur
  • Data entry and projects completed in Excel as required
  • Manage document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Support Accounts Payable department as needed
  • Develop and implement new accounting procedures



  • 2-4 years of accounting and/or finance in a commercial or residential real estate firm is preferred
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Yardi, Banking systems and Concur experience is preferred
  • Ability to master new systems and tasks quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Integrity and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
